About the Project
We are building a community-centered athletic facility designed to inspire movement, connection, and positive change. This vision was sparked in June 2025 while coaching youth athletes at a pole vault camp, where witnessing their growth, teamwork, and support for one another revealed the power of sport to unite a community.

Appalachian Athletic Alliance was founded on October 7, 2025, as a nonprofit dedicated to serving Southeast Ohio. Created for our community and shaped by the people who live here, we are collaborating with local partners to design a 75,000–100,000 square foot community sports and wellness facility for everyone—from youth athletes to retired adults and all ages in between.
Planned highlights include Ohio’s only 8 lane 200-meter indoor track, turf fields, and adaptable multi-use courts. Flexible layouts and netting will allow multiple games and events to run simultaneously, while select areas will offer 24/7 access—giving our community the freedom to prioritize health and wellness on their own schedule.

With the right funding and partnerships, this facility will become more than a building – it will be a gathering place where our community continues to grow, move, and thrive together
